Modern slavery

Modern slavery statement

eXcentius is a provider of product management and technical due diligence services.

In any element of the services we offer, we directly address modern slavery and we continue to develop our expertise and products to better meet the needs of our clients and customers. eXcentius also assesses its own supply chain against the risk of modern slavery or human rights issues being present.

According to the qualifying criteria of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, eXcentius is not required to produce a policy or statement as we fall below the threshold. However, we believe that it is important to help address this issue. We believe that it is the right thing to do as clear expression of our commitment to tackling modern slavery and a demonstration of the leadership we give to our clients, customers, and supply chain partners.

This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, and business partners.

Equal opportunities

Why it is an issue for us

From diversity comes innovation and learning. And to be blunt, that is what our clients expect in our work. The strength of eXcentius is the diversity of its people - and on a personal level, we're not interested in everyone thinking and being the same.

Our equal opportunities policy

eXcentius is committed to equal opportunities in the recruitment and engagement of staff as well as during their employment or engagement. eXcentius treats all staff and any applicants for any position in eXcentius equally, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

All staff (employees or contractors) are prohibited from any acts of unlawful discrimination, whether directly or indirectly, and against victimising or harassing other people including all current or former staff members, current or former clients and customers, suppliers and visitors and any job applicants. This applies both in and outside the workplace (when on work related business or in personal time whilst an employee or contractor) and on work-related events, including social events, using either company or private communications, and applies to both current and historical communications.

Any candidate currently being interviewed for a role with eXcentius, or any person currently in receipt of an offer of employment from the company, is prohibited from any acts of unlawful discrimination, whether directly or indirectly, and against victimising or harassing other people including all current or former staff members, current or former clients and customers, suppliers and visitors and any job applicants. This applies both in and outside the workplace, using either company or private communications, and applies to both current and historical communications.

For employees, any breach of this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.

For interview candidates, any breach of this policy will result in the immediate cessation of the interview process and the withdrawal of any offer of employment.

Any staff member who believes that he has suffered discrimination should refer to the bullying and harassment policy and the grievance procedure.

eXcentius encourages any staff member with a disability to discuss it with their line manager so that appropriate support can be offered (including consideration of any reasonable adjustments
which may be required).
